Shrutishobha (ISSN NO – 2348 1102)

Shrutishobha, (Journal of Samskrita and Samskriti) is a peer reviewed research journal of Veda Vijnana Shodha Samsthanam. (Recognized by Karnataka Sanskrit University; Order No - कसंवि/वे.वि.शो.सं.मा/२०१३-१४/७५७, दिनाङ्कः – ०३.०२.२०१४

Types of manuscripts –

  1. Traditional papers –

    Original research papers on different schools of Indian philosophy viz. grammar, Vedanta, vedaanga, Indian mathematics etc. (Up to 4000 words excluding bibliography notes and abstract.

  2. Interdisciplinary papers -

    Interdisciplinary research papers are published under this heading. (Up to 4000 words excluding bibliography notes and abstract.)

  3. Papers on newly edited manuscripts –

    Research papers on rare/unpublished manuscripts or a newly edited manuscript. (Up to 4000 words excluding bibliography notes and abstract.)

  4. Book review –

    Review of a book which focuses on Samskrita or Samskriti (Indian culture and heritage). The reviewer should highlight who the expected readers are, introduce readers to the book’s content (but avoid repeating its table of contents), focus on the subject, its approach and novelty; inform readers about what is happening in the area which the book addresses; what is the state of knowledge in the subject; and how this new book adds, changes or breaks new ground for existing knowledge on this subject. Focus on the book and not on your feelings about the subject. Do not discuss what you feel the author(s) should have written. Strive to make your review richly informative and insightful. (Up to 3000 words excluding bibliography notes and abstract.) A jpeg image of the cover page of the book reviewed should be sent.

Submitting the manuscript to the journal –

Research articles written either in Sanskrit (Any Unicode font) or in English to be mailed to shrutishobha.vvss@gmail.com. Pictures used in the article should be sent in jpg format.

Preparation of the manuscript –

    4. Name of the institution to which the work should be attributed

  3. Abstract –

    The abstract should explain the aim, the summary and the novelty achieved by the article. The abstract should not exceed 150 words.

  4. Key words -

    The abstract should provide 3-6 keywords.

  5. Template of the article –

    2. Main body of the article
    3. Conclusion
  6. Endnotes -

    Serial number to be added; reference also to be added under this heading.

Review method -

A blind review method is followed to select the articles. If small corrections are needed for publication, the article will be sent with the reviewer’s comment. The contributor should mail the corrected article within a week.
